International Workplace Group (IWG) is set to open four new flexible office locations across Ireland, as the rise of hybrid working in Ireland has created a strong demand for more office spaces.
The new offices will be located in Citywest, Balbriggan, Bray, and Limerick, adding to IWG’s global network of nearly 4,000 locations.
The Citywest office will feature 11,300 sq ft and provide a professional workspace outside Dublin’s city center. The Bray office, located at the former Oriflame facility, will offer private offices, meeting rooms, and coworking spaces. In Limerick, a 26,630 sq ft office will be spread across two floors, offering private offices, coworking spaces, and conference facilities. The Balbriggan office will cater to the growing commuter town and surrounding areas, with private offices and meeting rooms, opening in 2025.
Mark Dixon, IWG’s CEO, emphasized that the new locations are a response to the increasing need for high-quality flexible workspaces in Ireland, as companies realize the benefits of hybrid working for employee satisfaction, productivity, and cost savings.
IWG has reported record growth in revenue, cash flow, and earnings, with 465 new locations signed in the first half of 2024 alone, according to Business Plus.Â
IWG predicts that by 2030, 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace. They also highlight that hybrid working can save businesses €11,000 per employee on average.
