Bisnow’s recent NYC Office and Workplace of the Future event featured expert speakers on modern workplace trends and how companies can design workplaces that respond to today’s fast-paced business world.
During the event, attendees learned that workplaces need to be dynamic and that companies should think of the workplace as a product that should be constantly iterated upon. The workplace is never a done deal and it should always cater to and serve the end-user. Additionally, companies need to realize that long-term leases are no longer a viable solution, instead they should look to entities that offer short-term, flexible space that enables them to grow or contract as needed.
Last but not least, companies should make data-based workplace decisions. To do this, companies should invest in workplace pilot projects and have employees share ideas and test possibilities before a significant investment is made.
