The City of London Corporation has approved a new 30-story office tower to be developed by Hong Kong-based Tenacity Group.
The new tower will be located on Gracechurch Street and include 34,000 square meters of office space, as well as 2,500 square meters of retail and open space.
Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the tower will also feature a garden terrace and a treetop public walkway, as well as an irrigation system to water the building’s plants and surrounding trees.
“The building design embraces emerging development trends, such as flexible workspace, greening and access to fresh air – all of which were rising trends that have now been embedded into building design as a result of the pandemic,” said Councillor Alastair Moss, chair of the planning and transportation committee.
The building will also feature a ventilation system that filters outdoor air to cool the area.
It will also feature social and breakout zones, with floor plans to accommodate businesses large and small.
