Much like other parts of the world, Argentina’s economy has taken a hit due to skyrocketing inflation and unstable government.
One of the biggest issues facing the country are obstacles relating to accessing money due to complications with the country’s exchange market. This is particularly impacting knowledge workers, who are unable to properly receive pay for services they provide overseas.
To combat this, the government is exploring a new policy that would provide freelancers with a “special dollar” to liquidate the money they receive in Argentina’s market.
The idea is to do this through cryptocurrency exchanges, giving knowledge professionals the opportunity to take their money earned, purchase the currency and convert it into Argentine pesos.
The knowledge industry is a huge driver in today’s economy, and by supporting proper compensation for these professionals, Argentina’s plan could help bolster these professionals and generate more revenue.
