What’s going on:
IWG has unveiled its latest addition to the Spanish market: a brand-new coworking space, “Spaces Plaza Molina,” located just meters away from Plaza Molina in Barcelona’s Sarrià-Sant Gervasi area.
This 3,901 square meter facility is capable of accommodating up to 500 hybrid workers, and is a demonstration of IWG’s continued dedication to the Spanish market, with plans to expand into other cities in response to the surging demand for hybrid workspaces.
Why it matters:
Expanding its global network of over 3,500 coworking spaces in 120 countries, the IWG Group is strategizing to add 1,000 more workspaces under iconic brands such as Regus, HQ, Signature, and Spaces.
Recently, the group has declared their dedication to the Spanish market and aspirations to extend their reach to cities such as Santiago de Compostela, Santander, and Pamplona, which are all making the most of the surge in hybrid working.
How it’ll impact the future:
“We started 2023 with the intention of continuing to respond directly to the growing demand for hybrid workspaces, and we intend to reach more and more cities in Spain. This new facility in Barcelona is yet another example that this year we will open the doors of coworking facilities that will be critical to the region’s economic development,” said Philippe Jiménez, IWG’s Country Manager of Spain & Vice President of Sales in Southern Europe.
