What’s going on:
WeWork India has opened a massive 96,000 square foot coworking center in Pune’s Raheja Woods IT Tower.
Featuring five floors, 1,500 desks and an asset-light deal, this marks the company’s third space in the city.
Why it matters:
This opening comes as a result of growing demand for flexible office spaces among corporates.
“Pune has offered quality real estate over the years, leading to its emergence as one of the strongest and ideal cities for companies to set up their offices,” said Arnav S Gusain, Chief Supply Officer at WeWork India.
How it’ll impact the future:
CEO Karan Virwani stated that the company’s portfolio would reach 6.5 million square feet by March, and 8 million square feet by December 2023.
He added that the company is also seeking to expand into Delhi.
