One year ago, Hygge Coworking CEO Garrett Tichy saw his coworking business plummet as the pandemic forced offices to shut down and employees to shift to remote working.

However, a year on, Tichy says that Charlotte-based Hygge is back on track and recovering from the losses it experienced over the last few years.

“There is more to building a business than building a business,” said Tichy. “I want the success back, but I’m trying to train myself and my team that we can relax. Tomorrow’s another day. Take the weekend.”

In August, Tichy said the company added 50 more members to its coworking space, which has shifted his outlook on the future.

Since September, Hygge has accumulated over $13,000 in monthly recurring revenue, but like many other coworking operators, has not returned to its pre-pandemic numbers.

Now, the company is focusing on growing its memberships as well as Tichy’s recent health and retail ventures.

In fact, Tichy is helping launch a new retail brand called Lokal this month that will feature various local small business vendors.

Hygge also recently rebranded its gym concept to Hygge FIT, which is independent from the coworking business but offers members a discount.
