JPMorgan Chase is giving employees the option to work from home for the first two weeks of 2022.
However, this option comes with the caveat that all staff should return to the office by February 1, according to an internal memo.
“With the increase in holiday travel and gatherings, we are allowing for more flexibility during the first two weeks of January to work from home (if your role allows) at your manager’s discretion,” the memo read.
In a similar move, Citigroup has also requested that employees work from home for the first few weeks of 2022.
The financial industry as a whole has been eager to bring workers back into the office, but as cases of Covid spike across the world, some have come under scrutiny for these policies.
