Apple has announced that all store and corporate employees will be required to receive a Covid-19 booster shot when they are eligible.
Employees will have four weeks to receive their booster shot once eligible or be subjected to routine testing to enter a retail store, partner store, or office starting February 15.
Unvaccinated employees will have to provide a negative Covid-19 test before entering the workplace starting January 24.
“Due to waning efficacy of the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and the emergence of highly transmissible variants such as Omicron, a booster shot is now part of staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination to protect against severe disease,” Apple said in the memo.
This is an updated version of the company’s previous vaccination policy from last year, which saw unvaccinated corporate employees take daily tests before entering the office and unvaccinated retail workers having to undergo tests twice per week.
