IWG has revealed its intentions to add up to 700 flexible offices in the US mostly under its Regus and Spaces brands.
The new locations will be spread across 300 cities in an effort to address growing demand for flexible, post-pandemic office models. According to IWG CEO Mark Dixon, hybrid work arrangements are quickly becoming the top choice for companies shifting to new operational models.
“It’s a very, very significant change in how corporations, large and small, want to support their (workers) and, as part of that, how they want to consume real estate,” said Dixon.
Dixon also added that several of these new offices won’t be centered in business hubs – many will open in smaller towns and suburbs.
In March, Dixon revealed IWG’s intentions to open 1,000 new flexible offices around the world that primarily supports workers who have moved away from big cities and don’t wish to make the long commute back to the office.
