A new state-of-the-art, fully serviced business centre launching in the heart of Walsall, is set to greatly benefit the communities’ entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs. The new Citibase business centre will offer totally flexible and affordable fully serviced office space, perfect for fledgling and established businesses.
The new business hub which totals 15,194 sq. ft. is conveniently located close to all the amenities in the centre of Walsall, an area which has recently undergone significant investment as part of a multi-million pound regeneration scheme. Located inside an iconic Victorian Old Foundry it has been sympathetically and fully refurbished to accommodate the new serviced office space. The building retains many of the original period features, creating a truly unique work environment and base for businesses both large and small.
As with Citibases’ other business centres throughout the UK, Citibase Walsall will offer flexible short term and affordable contracts, which will appeal to entrepreneurs and businesses who are often deterred by long term office leases. Suites are offered in various sizes from one person to much larger spaces making it ideal for businesses at every level of their development.
Citibase CEO, Steve Jude comments: “It is an exciting time for Walsall with a great deal of investment taking place in the area, and the local authority actively promoting business growth and competitiveness through grants and mentoring for new businesses. Our incubator hub aims to provide a base for SMEs and entrepreneurs looking to take advantage of the investment in the area, and take their business to the next level.
“Walsall is undergoing significant changes as it develops and progresses, much like the world of work – small businesses tell us they want flexible and affordable office space available on short term contracts. By being based in our centre, our customers can focus on what’s important – growing their business whilst we take all the hassle of managing their office space off their hands.”
Citibase Walsall will be able to provide desk space for up to 260 local entrepreneurs and also offer 24 hour access with secure on-site parking, featuring meeting room facilities, manned reception, business support services and personalised call handling. Businesses will also benefit from a range of superfast internet and telecom packages which are so vital in these days of the fast-moving New Economy.
Cllr. Adrian Andrew, Walsall Council Deputy Leader, Cabinet Member for Regeneration adds: “It is great news that investment is taking place in our town. I thank Citibase for having the confidence in Walsall. It is another piece of the jigsaw regenerating our borough and supporting businesses and employees.”
The centre’s location is also second to none, being only just over a 10 minutes’ walk from the town’s shops, cafes and amenities along with Walsall Station which boasts frequent connections to Birmingham New Street station in around 20 minutes. Citibase Walsall is also just over one mile from Junction 9 of the M6, providing easy access to nearby Wolverhampton which is just six miles away, Birmingham and the rest of the region and country.
