Robert Cartwright, WeWork’s former senior vice president of global operations, has joined forces with CBRE’s new coworking venture, Hana.
Cartwright now holds the title of Hana’s chief operating officer after leaving his position at WeWork in August.
CBRE delved into the coworking world last month with the launch of Hana. The new operator will work with landlords to create and manage flexible office spaces and will produce revenue through profit-sharing agreements with said landlords.
By stepping into the coworking ring, CBRE has riled up former allies such as Knotel and Bond Collective, who claimed they would no longer work with the real estate management company.
Andrew Kupiec was appointed as CEO and Scott Marshall, leader of CBRE’s investor leasing service line in the Americas, holds the title of president and chief development officer.
