A recent study by IWG that surveyed over 18,000 professionals from various industries across 96 countries revealed that two-thirds of employees work remotely every week and over half do so for at least half of the week.
This huge rise in remote workers has also led to increased demand for flexible offices and coworking spaces.
“It is exciting that we are entering the era of the mobile workforce. Not just for individual employees, but for businesses too,” said Mark Dixon, CEO of IWG. “This is a huge shift in the workspace landscape globally, and businesses are now looking closely at what this means for their corporate real estate portfolios.”
IWG itself offers a wide variety of flexible workplace solutions through its coworking brand Spaces.
