WeWork has started rolling out a new redesign to encourage physical distancing measures and stricter cleaning practices at its coworking facilities.
In a brochure to members, the company is working to make common areas less dense by decreasing the number of members allowed at shared tables and limiting booth capacity to one person. It also will be installing visuals such as floor stickers to remind people of the 6 foot distancing measures.
“By modifying shared spaces with staggered seating and buffer zones, teams can continue to operate in the workplace while still maintaining a healthy physical distance from colleagues and fellow members,” the brochure said.
The company said it would also be adding hand sanitizer, wipe stations, touch-free soap dispensers and increasing cleaning frequency throughout the day.
