Although seasoned remote workers will swear by the benefits of working from the comfort of their homes, the cracks are starting to show now that this is a more widely adopted arrangement.
Now, there is a hesitancy to take time off and a phenomenon referred to as ‘Zoom fatigue.’ If those who have worked remotely for years are starting to feel the pressure, how are rookie remote workers adjusting?
According to a new survey from ServiceNow, one-third of respondents said they felt less productive. Even more, many said technology was hindering their productivity and a staggering 83% think it is the responsibility of their employers to do something.
Additionally, 68% said that a healthy work-life balance is essential at the moment. However, despite the stresses that can come from working from home, a majority still think it suits them, just not all the time.
This data reveals that overall, there are issues that companies need to iron out when operating remotely in order to make sure that employees are safe, healthy, engaged and productive.
