WeWork has revealed that it has scored a U.S. federal contract to provide government worker switch access to flexible workspaces.
Along with WeWork, four other contractors were awarded contracts by the U.S. General Services Administration to help federal employees seamlessly transition to more flexible arrangements.
WeWork’s flexible coworking contract is set for one year, but will have renewal options according to the operator.
This partnership comes at a time when employees are gaining more flexibility in their workplace options, and organizations are adopting hybrid models for future operations.
Through a hybrid work arrangement, workers can have the option to be in the office, at home, or in a coworking space that meets their workplace needs.
