Coworking firm Spacemade will open two new workspaces in London’s Wimbledon and Cricklewood neighborhoods.
The new locations aim to provide professionals with a “third place” to work that is outside of their homes and their employer’s main office. In fact, a survey commissioned by Spacemade in August of 2020 showed that 43% of 350 respondents wanted a local workspace some or all of the time in the future.
Spacemade has partnered with Wittington Investments to operate the 6,000 square foot coworking space on Wimbledon Village High Street, and will also manage a 10,000 square foot warehouse building in Cricklewood.
“As working behaviours become more varied and increasingly personalised, we are creating individual spaces that offer flexibility and variety with the benefit of access to our growing network of spaces across the UK,” said Dan Silverman, cofounder of Spacemade. “Each of our workspaces are shaped by their locality as we truly believe there is no longer a one-size-fits-all approach to the office. By partnering with an operator, landlords can provide a hospitality-led and flexible offer directly to their customers.”
Spacemade launched its services towards the end of 2019, and has since opened seven coworking spaces across 100,000 square feet.
