Industrious Raises US $80 Million
Coworking brand, Industrious, announced earlier this week that it had closed an $80 million Series C funding round co-led by Riverwood Capital and Fifth Wall Ventures. According to the announcement, the money raised will help power the company’s expansion trajectory, as well as explore issues surrounding the future of work and the workplace.
WeWork Made $900M In Sales
Cowroking giant, WeWork, told Bloomberg early this week that it made $900 million in sales during 2017. Not only that, but it appears that WeWork also “reduced gross capital expenditure per desk to $9,504 from $14,14.” And even though those are astounding numbers, the company stated that “it would be profitable if it didn’t count ‘growth investments’.”
Ucommune Takes Up Fintech Companies
Ucommune (formerly UrWork) announced that its upcoming location in Suntec City Tower II, Singapore’s Fintech hub, has been fully leased out to blockchain consultancy firm Talenta Pte Ltd, IDEA communication Pte Ltd, and Spemocean Pte Ltd.
The Wing Expands To Brooklyn
Women focused coworking operator, The Wing, recently opened its third location; expanding into the Brooklyn territory. The 9,000 square-foot space, located inside Two Trees’ Clocktower Building boasts a dedicated retail space, as well as the rest of The Wing staple amenities.
