New York City has an infinite amount of niche coworking space options for creative freelancers and business owners to operate. Spring Place is one of the first to offer the fashion world flexibility, event spaces, and a social club.
Since May of 2016, Spring Place has been a hub for culture geared towards creatives within the fashion industry. It currently has two locations, one in New York and the other in Los Angeles, and hopes to expand internationally.
With the company’s new CEO, Olivier Lordonnois, Spring Place has plans to expand its brand.
“Since the club opened, it is such a unique concept it was almost impossible to get completely really right from the beginning and I think these things, like any innovation, take a little time to mature to become perfect so I joined at a critical point in time,” said Lordonnois.
Lordonnois has two decades of hospitality and luxury experience under his belt, but said that his experiences do not compare to what Spring Place provides.
Spring Place offers unique cultural programming that is rarely seen in any other shared workspace. Events such as a series of talks and panels with industry veterans give members a chance to have in-depth connections with like-minded professionals.
Lordonnois said his most anticipated event is New York Fashion Week as well as the Tribeca Film Festival.
The company hopes to branch out into London next, then hopefully expand throughout Europe (particularly Paris.)
