Office Depot has announced its endeavor into the successful coworking space industry. The office supplies retail giant has recently pivoted towards providing more services.
Gerry Smith, Office Depot’s CEO who took over in February 2017, said that the company has plans to open two more coworking locations in Dallas and Chicago.
Office Depot debuted its “Workonomy Hub” in 2017 in Los Gatos. The space provides clients access to internet, free refreshments, and access to multiple business services.
Providing a coworking option is a way to drive business and productivity for stores suffering from weak foot traffic.
