Flexible workspace operator Cuckooz Nest has hit its £100,000 funding goal one year after its launch. The company offers an office space and Ofsted childcare facilities for working parents.
Now, the company has plans to open a second location later this year that will provide childcare services for children up to five years old.
The crowdfunding came from a balance of 52% to 48% between female and male investors.
“That said, with the issues of returning to work post-birth often impacting more women, we’re glad to see the scales tip slightly in favour of female investors and the great bunch of ladies that have shown faith in us,” said cofounder Charlie Rosier.
