MLP Ventures announced that it will launch a series of massive coworking complexes. The initiative, called The Discovery Labs, will welcome companies in the life science, biotech, and healthcare fields.
The first Discovery Labs will open in King of Prussia in Philadelphia and it will span a total of 1.6 million square feet. According to sources, the project will cost an estimated $500 million. The coworking campus will be made up of 12 connected buildings and it will be almost 20 times larger than the average coworking space, including WeWork.
The Discovery Labs will provide access labs, business resources, and technology infrastructure that healthcare, life sciences, and tech-enabled companies need in order to operate, carry out research, and innovate. The campus will also include coffee shops, restaurants, and a conference center. Members of the coworking space will have access to a fitness center, yoga and pilates classes, basketball courts, and walking trails.
