WeWork has announced it will acquire building access and security management startup Waltz to better accommodate WeWork’s enterprise clients such as GE Healthcare and Microsoft.
Waltz is a cloud-based management portal and goes further than being an alternative to keys or access cards. It’s smartphone app makes it easier for users to access different properties with a single credential and gives companies data about who enters and exits their buildings.
After the acquisition, Waltz will be integrated into WeWork but maintain its current customer base.
This is just one of many of WeWork’s recent acquisitions as it branches beyond coworking to become a software-as-a-service provider. Other companies WeWork has recently acquired includes office management platforms Teem and Managed by Q.
