According to a TSMC infographic, there are expected to be 42 billion IoT-enabled devices worldwide and as these numbers grow, so will the data they produce. AI is then able to take this data and its learning capabilities to better empower IoT technology.

So in what ways will the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) shape how we live and work?

Wearable devices like smartwatches have grown in popularity over the past few years and will continue to play an important role as people focus more on their health. 

In fact, Gartner anticipates that the wearable device market will see more than $87 billion in revenue by 2023.

Smart home devices have also become a regular across many homes and offices across the world. Using these devices, users can adjust lighting, heating and air and other electronic tools from their phones or voices.

As some people continue to move into urban areas, cities are focused on becoming safer and healthier places to live by using smart technology.

These smart cities have started implementing AI to improve congested roads, decrease contact with high-touch areas, as well energy usage.
