Investment advisor Vanguard will offer its 16,500 employees a $1,000 bonus if they receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
“Vanguard recognizes vaccines are the best way to stop the spread of this virus and strongly encourages crew to be vaccinated,” said Charles Kurtz, a spokesperson for Vanguard. “As such, we are offering a vaccine incentive for crew who provide COVID-19 vaccination proof. The incentive recognizes crew who have taken the time to protect themselves, each other, and our communities by being vaccinated.”
Employees must be vaccinated by October to be eligible for the bonus.
This announcement follows many other companies who are trying to encourage workers to get vaccinated, with some requiring proof of vaccination in order to reenter their offices.
