A new study from Deloitte shows that around 40% of U.S. travelers plan to work while on vacation during the holidays.Â
The majority of these travelers also have plans to spend the same or more on vacations than what they did prior to the pandemic.Â
Additionally, three out of four workers said they are adding an extra day to their trip thanks to their remote working capabilities.Â
The study also highlights the disproportionate nature of pandemic recovery, with over half of high-income Americans traveling during this holiday season. Â
Upon further inspection, around one-third of workers making less than $50,000 annually plan to travel, while 46% of those making between $50,000 and $100,000 are doing so.Â
Of the lower-income workers who plan to travel and spend more on these trips than before the pandemic, 44% said they would be utilizing their accumulated savings.Â
