Sirius Real Estate revealed its rent roll reached $180 million after acquiring Helix Investments, the holding company for flexible operator BizSpace, late last year.
In November of 2021, Sirius purchased Helix Investments for around $319 million, marking one of its largest expansions in the UK with the goal of “geographic diversification.”
“It provides us with our first expansion into a new geography via the acquisition of a significant portfolio of assets and an established operating platform, both of which we believe have huge potential,” Andrew Coombs said after the initial acquisition.
The firm, which initially invested in German business parks, noted that BizSpace had “already [showed] positive momentum in terms of growing rents.”
Following the acquisition, rents grew 7.5% like-for-like in the UK.
