Conductor Gives Employees YOLO Months For Work-Life Flexibility

Online marketing platform Conductor is saying YOLO and letting employees work from wherever for two months.

Currently, the company operates on a hybrid schedule that sees workers come into the office three days a week. However, Conductor has become interested in incorporating more flexibility, leading to the adoption of YOLO months.

The program takes place from mid-March to mid-April and in August, allowing employees to achieve a better work-life balance and attend to their personal responsibilities.

Due to the pushback some companies have faced in the return-to-office era, companies like Conductor are looking for innovative ways to make the workplace enticing and address the growing demand for flexibility.

“We are a small company, we’re not paying like Google or Amazon, and we’re in a hot market. So we have to have a leading edge thinking around benefits and work-life balance,” said Tom Martin, chief revenue officer at Conductor.

By adopting both in-office and remote arrangements, Conductor aims to give workers more freedom in their scheduling, without depriving them of community.

However, Seth Besmertnik, founder and CEO of Conductor, admitted that the number of employees taking advantage of their YOLO months was less than anticipated.

While this could mean adjustments to the plan in the future, the end goal is to give workers a choice in how they use their time.
