Elon Musk has made his suspicions about Twitter’s spam bot users apparent.
In a letter sent to the social media platform today, Musk’s legal team claims that they are in “clear material breach” after refusing to provide the Tesla CEO with further information into Twitter’s spam bot users.
Without this data, Musk has threatened “not to consummate the transaction.”
“Mr. Musk believes the company is actively resisting and thwarting his information rights (and the company’s corresponding obligations) under the merger agreement,” the legal team said.
Since news broke that Musk would be acquiring Twitter, murmurs of the billionaire walking away from the deal quickly began to surface.
According to various tweets and interviews, Musk has been complaining about Twitter’s spam bot problem, which could be an effort to escape the deal he committed to in April.
