The country is expected to enter what experts are calling a white-collar recession in the coming months.
As Big Tech continues to slow hiring and even conduct layoffs, professionals within these cushy industries are starting to sweat.
“It’s an unusual job environment with the economy under pressure, with higher interest rates and higher inflation and with a tight labor market,” said Nancy Vanden Houten, lead U.S. economist at Oxford Economics.
However, service industry jobs are ripe for picking, especially as the holiday season approaches.
Using California’s employment data and insight from economists, the Los Angeles Times was able to identify the most in-demand jobs in the state over the next year.
