Layoffs Come To Microsoft Following Disappointing Sales Projections

Microsoft has conducted layoffs as the company forecasts a slowdown in revenue. 

According to a spokesperson for the company, the disappointing sales for Windows licenses for PCs has led Microsoft to fire less than 1,000 workers, according to an insider.   

Microsoft’s move isn’t exactly unusual — several tech firms have taken the same path as the threat of a recession ramps up and companies rush to slash their costs.   

“Like all companies, we evaluate our business priorities on a regular basis, and make structural adjustments accordingly,” said a Microsoft spokesperson. “We will continue to invest in our business and hire in key growth areas in the year ahead.”
