There’s a new subset of digital nomads emerging, and it’s not the ones sitting on the beaches of Bali with their laptops.
Called “digital snowmads,” these traveling professionals take comfort in the snowy mountains of a ski resort. Instead of taking long walks on a tropical beach during their breaks, they hit the slopes and take advantage of an area’s ski slopes.
As a result of this growth, ski resorts have begun introducing amenities for their newfound audience. Incorporating high-speed internet, coworking spaces and other work-necessary amenities has quickly become a mainstay for these snowy retreats.
It’s expected that the population of digital nomads will continue to grow, and with that comes an expansion and diversification of their work-life-play desires.
