Twitter continues to slash its workforce, with some of its trust and safety team to be on the chopping block.
Last week, Twitter employees in Dublin and Singapore were impacted by dozens of layoffs, including Head of Site Integrity for Asia-Pacific Nur Azhar Bin Ayob and Analuisa Dominguez, senior director of revenue policy.
“We have thousands of people within Trust and Safety who work content moderation and have not made cuts to the teams that do that work daily,” said Ella Irwin, vice president of trust and safety, citing the need to consolidate some areas of the team.
Twitter’s recent layoffs have been nothing short of historical for the social media platform. Since being taken over by Elon Musk, the company has trimmed its headcount by thousands. As a result, the company has faced a myriad of lawsuits, including claims that recent firings disproportionately impacted women.
