A recent report from CERT Property found that workers want access to workplace counsellors, mental health training, and support groups. Many workers have reported that their mental health has taken a hit since the onset of the pandemic.
As companies prepare for the return to the office, workers are asking that their employers provide more mental health support. 31% of those surveyed said they would like access to therapists in the workplace. A third of workers also want training on mental health issues in the hopes of better supporting themselves and their coworkers.
Companies need to take note of these demands as many workers report feeling more stressed in the office vs from home. With the increase in remote and hybrid work practices, companies need to start thinking of the workplace as a destination workers will want to go to. Offering the amenities and perks workers want is one way to ensure that they will want to continue going into the office in the future.
