Graphic design company Canva has revealed it will continue to operate with a remote-hybrid model after restrictions have been lifted and the pandemic is over.
Although the company will still bring its employees into the office for a handful of events each year, it will prioritize flexibility moving forward.
“We know many people will continue to come into our offices more regularly than that,” the company wrote in a blog post announcing the policy. “We’d like to see everyone able to visit their nearest Canva Hub at least twice a season.”
Employees will not have a set amount of time to spend in the office, allowing workers to identify which schedule best works for their needs.
According to a company survey, 79% of Canva employees feel productive working from home, and 81% stated wanting to maintain this flexibility while also having in-person collaborative opportunities.
Canva did offer employees three guiding principles to help employees understand what future workplace arrangements will look like: think team first, plan office time each season, and company-wide events will continue to play a role.
