According to new research from Deloitte, one in three workers in the U.S. said that nothing would stop them from choosing flexible work options, even if it was career damaging.
The survey of 1,000 workers found that 94% of respondents said they would benefit from flexible working, wth 43% saying it could reduce stress and improve their mental health.
Among the workers whose employers offer flexible working, 82% said they have taken advantage of both remote and flexible working.
“In today’s fast-paced and always-on world, people are taking more control of their own wellbeing,” said Jen Fisher, chief wellbeing officer at Deloitte. “Our survey suggests that more people are using flexible workplace programmes, even though they have lingering concerns about the potential consequences [for] their professional development.”
