Although the pandemic’s chokehold on the workforce has loosened its grip, companies are still facing major obstacles in planning for the future.
According to the Incentive Research Foundation’s 2023 Trends Report, incentives have become a key component to sustaining growth moving forward.
“As we enter 2023, incentive, recognition, and reward programs will be expected to have broader reach and deeper impact,” said Stephanie Harris, President of the IRF.
More specifically, the report showed that one of the top ways to incentivize workers is to expand existing roles to reinvigorate employee performance and inspiration.
Additionally, the IRF says that incentive programs should not only feature tangible benefits, but schedule flexibility to tend to their personal needs.
“Program owners are charged with motivating a changing workforce while dealing with major disruptions, including inflation, uncertainty, ongoing supply chain issues and limited inventory,” Harris added.
