Commercial real estate firm SomeraRoad has revealed the completion of its first live-work-play-stay redevelopment of the SouthSide Works Cinema property in Pittsburgh.
The “Box Office” project was acquired in March of 2020 and has now been transformed into 77,000 square feet of Class A office space that features workspaces, natural lighting, outdoor areas, and more.
Additionally, Box Office includes a 7,000 square foot lobby, a 1,700 square foot outdoor patio, and serves as an anchor for SouthSide Works, a walkable campus that features retail, entertainment, and residential spaces.
It is also walking distance to the surrounding neighborhood that includes grocery stores, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and more.
“The cinema’s grand entry, high ceilings and efficient usable floor plate, coupled with steel and glass facades, and the adaptive-reuse appeal, create a unique office conversion opportunity that, especially when coupled with this vibrant, walkable, amenity-rich neighborhood, provides a product that Pittsburgh hasn’t seen before,” said Jonathon Reeser, Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at SomeraRoad.
