Flexibility Will Drive Business Continuity In 2022

Flexible working is no longer a nice-to-have perk; these types of policies that enable remote and hybrid working will be necessary for businesses to thrive in 2022.

Flexibility Will Drive Business Continuity In 2022

Employees have enjoyed the perks of remote working over the past few years, reveling in their newfound work-life balance.

However, many employers have been less enthusiastic about this arrangement, with many scrambling to find the best possible return-to-office strategies. After 2021 failed to bounce back to normalcy, business leaders are accepting that flexible working is here to stay.

So what can we expect from the future of the workforce?

For starters, flexibility is winning. Due to ongoing labor shortages and increased demand for better employee experiences, companies are finally addressing the need to incorporate more flexibility in their workplace policies.

Additionally, creating a more mobile workforce will no longer be seen as a nice perk — it will be necessary for business continuity.

Not only is mobility crucial for attracting new talent; this feature is essential to nurturing a more diverse workforce, thus improving workplace culture, the employee experience, and driving innovation in the future.

Digitization of the workplace also grew tenfold over the past few years, and will continue to play a leading role in the future of work.

Managing distributed workers is nearly impossible without the right technology. In 2022, companies are expected to invest even more into the tools that enable hybrid and remote working.

Despite the upsurge in demand for remote working, companies may also see their employees inquiring about working in an office.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean coming into the company’s headquarters. Instead, employees may turn to flexible or coworking offices closer to their homes, helping them seek refuge from the distractions and isolation of working from home.
