Freelance organizations are popping up as this community continues to make its presence known across the global workforce.
The Association for the Future of Work was created just weeks ago in the UK and focuses on bridging together entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, and leaders to address issues that may arise in the coming years.
Founded by Azis-Clauson, the association aims to properly address business-related issues, such as late payments and taxation, and how freelancers can provide solutions.
At the first town square-like meeting, senior industry participants, leaders, and politicians came together to discuss the evolution of the freelance world, as well as how the government and businesses can better prepare for a future that relies heavily on these types of workers.
Another group that has emerged as part of this movement is R-evolution Spain, an organization that is bringing freelance platforms together. Similarly to the Association for the Future of Work, R-evolution Spain aims to bring together corporate leaders and politicians to better understand the freelance community.
These organizations are a prime example of how the freelance economy continues to mature. As professionals crave to be their own bosses, companies and governments will need to be more open to developing relationships and incorporating freelancers into their operations.
