  1. San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, California
  2. Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown, Texas
  3. Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, Washington
  4. San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley, California
  5. Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, Colorado
  6. Salt Lake City, Utah
  7. Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, Tennessee
  8. Raleigh-Cary, North Carolina
  9. Columbus, Ohio
  10. Boston-Cambridge-Newton, Massachusetts

Notably, the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, California metro went from the 10th spot to number one as a result of performing well in four of the seven indicators.

Although the cost of living in this area is high, its median earnings for workers 25 years and older ranked number one on the list.

While the desire for amenities that nurture mental and physical health remains important for Millennials, financial health has emerged as the top priority when choosing a place to live.
