Software platform Lattice has released a new report that confirms what experts have been predicting: remote work is the future.Â
According to its State of People Strategy report, one in four HR leaders believe that their workforce will be between 90% and 100% remote in 2023.Â
This is largely driven by shifting workplace preferences, rather than a global health crisis. The last few years, albeit anxiety-inducing, allowed workers to self-reflect and reprioritize nearly every aspect of their lives. Â Â Â
Part of this life rearrangement was the idea of working when and where a worker pleases, and the report certainly supports this notion without any significant losses. In fact, companies with a 90% remote workforce were found to be just as satisfied with their manager-employee facetime than those with a smaller remote workforce. Â
In addition to the clear demand for hybrid work models, the report also showed that there is an increasing pressure to implement pay transparency, with 67% of US and 64% of UK professionals wanting these policies.Â
Even 72% of HR professionals said more can be done to enhance the link between compensation and work performance.Â
Changing sentiment is driving the future of work, and no other department understands this more than HR leaders. For companies to thrive moving forward, it’s critical to acknowledge undisputable changes to the workplace, and how employee satisfaction is directly tied to the success of a business.
