Program gives coworking spaces an easy way to provide food for their members’ meetings and events at all of their locations while earning incremental revenue
LAS VEGAS – September 29, 2016 – ezCater, the only nationwide marketplace for business catering, today announced at the Global Workspace Association’s Shared Workspace Conference the launch of a new Coworking Space Program designed to simplify business catering at shared workspaces. The program connects coworking spaces with ezCater’s nationwide network of 45,000+ caterers, making it easy to feed member meetings and events in any location across the U.S. By partnering with ezCater, coworking spaces can also earn incremental revenue on orders placed by members through the program.
“Coworking spaces today need to go beyond providing a great space in a good location. Providing members with turnkey solutions like catering for meetings and events is a big part of the value proposition for a space,” said Jamie Russo, Executive Director at the Global Workspace Association and Owner at Enerspace Coworking. “Partnering with ezCater is a great way that all shared workspaces can add additional value for members. It takes a typically time-consuming process and makes it easy and reliable.”
Until today, many coworking spaces handled the burden of catering requests by coordinating their own network of vendors at every location or handing out local menus and letting members fend for themselves. Partnering with ezCater provides a single, reliable, ordering solution for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for any of their current or future locations. Through the program, coworking spaces can easily manage all food requests for all members and locations, or empower their members to order for themselves through a workspace-branded webpage.
One of the first coworking companies to join ezCater’s new program is Boston-based Workbar, which operates 13 workplaces including three recently opened Workbar at Staples locations in Greater Boston.
“We are creating the workplace of the future focused around quality and convenience. On-demand catering is part of that equation,” said Bill Jacobson, Founder and CEO of Workbar. “Food is a natural boundary breaker, which is so important in business and coworking. We wanted to create a simple and effortless way for our members to order food for delivery to any meeting or event at Workbar. Working with ezCater provides us the best way to offer a quality solution for our members that will cover every Workbar location, now and in the future. As we build our “hub and spoke” system of urban and suburban interconnected locations, ezCater will be able provide us the scale to deliver quality food to our members, wherever we go.”
“We are incredibly excited to be working with coworking spaces to help them better serve their members while earning incremental revenue for themselves,” said Andy Komack, Director of Strategic Partnerships at ezCater. “Not only we will work closely with each partner space to create a co-branded ordering experience, but space owners can also be confident that ezCater can serve all of their current and future locations with a nationwide network of more than 45,000 quality caterers.”
