Last February, WeWork acquired software tracking company Euclid as it continues its spree of detecting and collecting data within its spaces.
Using WiFi, Euclid can detect customers’ smartphones and track when they enter a store, how long they stay and more
According to Shiva Rajaraman, WeWork’s chief product officer, WeWork aims to track how people intend to use the space, rather than how they actually use it.
“We’ve been very focused on providing Google Analytics for the real world, where instead of the clickstream, you get the footstream,” said Euclid CEO Will Smith.
