JPMorgan is directing Manhattan employees who are unvaccinated to work remotely in the wake of New York’s new mask mandate.
Prior to the mandate, the banking firm allowed unvaccinated workers to receive biweekly testing.
Now, only vaccinated workers will be allowed to enter JPMorgan’s offices across Manhattan, including its headquarters on Madison Avenue.
New York has been ramping up their Covid-related restrictions in recent weeks. As part of the state’s new restrictions, businesses must implement a mask mandate if they do not ask for proof of vaccination.
Additionally, private employers in New York City will be required to enact a vaccine mandate by December 27.
JPMorgan has been one of many other banking firms that has been strict about its return-to-office plans, encouraging workers to get vaccinated and receive boosters if eligible.
