Colliers International is broadening its relationship with Denver-based online coworking market, Upsuite, as the sector continues to grow further.
Upsuite allows coworking firms to list their spaces on its website for free, so long as they update their information every 30 days. It then collects a percentage of transaction value when an operator and space make an agreement.
With this non-exclusive partnership, Colliers professionals can have access and secure the best and more cost efficient flexible workspaces within their markets
“We get leading-edge technology which helps drive efficiencies and gathers information,” said Scott Addison, president of Colliers’ brokerage services for Canada. “It really helps us serve some of our clients at a higher level.”
Addison also said that Colliers has worked in tandem with coworking operator Regus, but it’s deal with Upsuite will allow it to show clients a larger range of coworking options in the market.
Upsuite’s platform also gives operators a better chance of attracting qualified teams to their locations, as some face high vacancy rates.
Now, Upsuite has received $120,000 in exchange for participating in Techstars, an accelerator program, and 6% ownership stake in the company.
