New York, 28 March 2019:
Marking its second consecutive year, Workplace Week New York 2019, brainchild of Advanced Workplace Associates (AWA), will take place the week commencing 24 June 2019. More than 20 organizations, including 8 debutants, have confirmed their support for the philanthropic week, which last year raised over $20,000 for the âI Have A Dreamâ Foundation (NY).
Following last yearâs successful American premiere, Workplace Week will once again touch down in New York this summer. Boston Consulting Group, Blackstone and GroupM are just some of the big names participating in Workplace Week 2019 to celebrate and showcase workplace innovation and creativity.
Marking an exciting first for Workplace Week NY is Boston Consulting Group (BCG). BCG has literally elevated the concept of an activity-based office design to new heights with a 193,000-square-foot office space spanning the 42nd through 47th floors at trendy 10 Hudson Yards. Home to more than 700 employees and championing âcollision coefficientâ and serendipitous interaction, the open and dynamic space features myriad styles, themes, looks and finishes, all underpinned by the latest state of the art technology, and stunning views of the Hudson.
Another debutant to the 2019 line-up is Blackstone Innovations, the technology team at Blackstone Group L.P., the American multinational private equity, alternative asset management and financial services firm based in New York City. The design rationale for its recent 30,000-square-foot-office in the heart of Lexington Avenue was to create an agile environment that fosters a culture of collaboration and provocative thinking.
Also making its Workplace Week debut is GroupM, the worldâs largest media investment management firm. In 2018, GroupM embarked on a strategic merger of office space for the networkâs distinct brands, relocating from three separate Midtown offices into a new, 700,000-square-foot headquarters in 3 World Trade Center. Under the stewardship of global design and planning firm, HOK, employees now have access to shared space that includes a two-story town hall workspace, coffee bar, wellness center, game room, career center, tech hub, grab-and-go café, and outdoor terrace.
âWorkplace Week New York was created to showcase how business leaders and their facilities, people services and workplace teams can champion change in order to improve engagement, productivity, wellbeing and business performance,â says Andrew Mawson, founder of AWA and creator of Workplace Week. âThe charitable workplace festival is back due to huge demand to shine a light on the organizations that use workplace change as a tool for business transformation by embracing new, modern approaches to work that help people be at their best.â
