Tishman Speyer is one of the nation’s most prominent commercial landlords and is now working at full speed on its coworking model.
Currently, the landlord covers 165 million square feet across 400 buildings and has started opening locations for its coworking firm Studio in Boston and Los Angeles.
Tishman announced Studio backed in September where it said it would open its first workspace in a 35,000 square foot space at its 600 Fifth Avenue location.
The company revealed that it will also be offering Studio Private for blue-chip clients, opening its first location at Rockefeller Center in December.
This move puts Tishman in direct competition with flexible operators that are already tenants in its buildings, such as Spaces and WeWork who both currently lease space from the landlord.
