The Post Workspaces will open a new 8,500 square foot coworking facility in Tucson at the beginning of March.
Daniel Wesson, founder and CEO of The Post, decided to open the coworking space after experiencing frustration due to his commute to his one-person office.
“If you don’t have a community, you just have office space, and there’s nothing exciting about that,” said Wesson.
Wesson and his partner Chelle Peterson, director of community operations, then traveled coast to coast in order to study the best coworking practices.
“One of the big things we saw in major markets, is that everyone is talking about ‘activating their building.’ There are many, many benefits to having a coworking space in a building,” said Wesson. “We picked the best features out of all these communities and plugged them in here.”
The Post includes fiber internet, soundproof office suites, meeting rooms, coffee, a concierge, private phonebooths and more.
Along with serving as a coworking space and private office, The Post also can be used as a virtual office with a local phone number and personalized phone answering
While Wesson originally thought The Post would be geared towards real estate, people from various industries have signed onto use the space.
