CBRE’s coworking brand Hana has selected its first New York City location at 3 World Trade Center, where it will take up two floors.
Hana signed a revenue sharing agreement with landlord Silverstein Properties and will manage 85,000 square feet of the 2.5 million square foot building. 5,000 square feet of the space will serve as the company’s headquarters despite CBRE being based in Los Angeles. This will serve as Hana’s second location, with the first being in Dallas.
“The Financial District stood out to us as an area that has been revitalized and a place where high-growth industries like technology firms are moving,” said Andrew Kupiec, Hana’s CEO. “This is a location that made sense to us as a result of the demand.”
Management agreements like this have become increasingly popular in the flexible office industry as operators work to establish better relationships with landlords.
